Whether or not Bernie Sanders becomes the next president of these United States of America, our political revolution is underway and ongoing. Believe. Have hope. Take part. End hate. End wars.
If you want to be part of this revolution, tune in to The People’s Summit that is presently underway this weekend, June 17-19, in Chicago, Illinois.

Thank you for making me aware of this Summit. Yes, no matter how you feel about politics, we must all start to respect each other and make some changes.

Thanks, Bernadette. We’re all in this together.
To quote the words of Guyanese poet, Martin Carter (1927-1997) from his poem, “You are Involved”:
all are involved!
all are consumed!

Much as the goals are worthy, there is the danger that with so many goals the energy of the movement will be dissipated. Most presidential candidates are advised to focus on no more than three ideas. That might be good advice for the movement Bernie is leading.

Dr. Stein, the situation of working class Americans has reached such a critical state that focusing on no more than three ideas would have failed to garner the attention and support he has received.

I’m sorry I missed this streaming but looking through the sites and their links really made me smile. So often, we look, listen, talk and then go off shaking our heads in the well-worn “cautiously optimistic” mode, But this group, Democracy Now, has pulled off something that could truly be significant: seeing these people from all over, row after row of them, people of intellect and purpose, and so many young people knowing Zinn – that is marvelous. They are up and active and fighting for their futures, as well as ours. For once, I’m thinking maybe multiple groups advocating similar ideas and actions is a good thing – instead of scattering effort, they are all around, everywhere you look, lighting fires under people – one of them can catch you, another your neighbor, another your brother.
