Einstein’s theories of relativity
upending the way we view time.
Past – present – future but an illusion.
Time & space woven together
forming a four-dimensional fabric.
Space-time, Einstein called it.
Quantum entanglement defies physics.
Separate entangled photons
& they remain connected
mimicking the behavior of the other
at the same time.
Spooky action at a distance, Einstein called it.
What of Man made from stardust
of atoms & entangled photons
existing in space-time
mindless of his cosmic entanglement
and shared fate?
Misogyny – racism – xenophobia
expand space-time between photons
disrupting their entanglement.
Same but separate
yearning and friction without end.
America
rising from the detritus of war
splits the atom
unleashing humanity’s Doomsday Machine
in space-time.
Jerusalem
citadel of the gods
of Christians – Jews – Muslims
trapped in space-time
where past – present – future are one.
In space-time warped by Man
world peace is impossible.
Man of Earth
how do you undo
what can’t be disentangled?

Very good questions, with no good answers.

I’ve actually read Einstein and Heisenberg recently. The “spooky action at a distance” has actually been demonstrated across relatively long distances. The world is most perplexing. Thanks for trying to make sense of it, Rosaliene.

My post was inspired by the Science Channel’s presentation, “The Time Travel Enigma.”

A frightening question you leave us with this morning.

With all the hateful rhetoric and battering war drums coming from D.C., we’ve got to ponder well the path we are forging ahead.

How do we look at reality versus “unreality”? We’ve invented many words to describe things we fail to understand, but hound us or plague us regardless: dreams, visions, illusions, mirages, imagination, faith. Those are the more-or-less positive aspects of our touches with the ethereal. Our physical selves ignore it; those who feel threatened by it mock and belittle it. Regardless, “it” remains. Now some scientific brains are being pulled into the surreal and using new-found theories and technology to bring it into the realm of the physical and explain it thus. Atoms? Sub-atomic particles acting weird? Still looking in the wrong end of the telescope. What is science doing? Imagine a sailor who knows nothing but the sea and ships. She is presented with an image of a car speeding along a highway. Mesmerized, she insists that the car be brought to her so she can “sail” it upon her only known surface. Predictably the car sinks. The car is not designed for the sea element, nor could she sail her ship upon the land. We need to seriously delve much deeper than anything we’ve ever explored to understand how we are being affected by the so-called time-space continuum. We must meet the wizard face-to-face. We need to rise above both to observe them dispassionately and accurately. That’s where we find the answers to questions like are time and space illusions? Are we caught in a massive web of deceit holding us and preventing us from attaining our human potential by keeping us in thrall to fear of what we do not understand, or better put, refuse to try to understand?

We live in a world we don’t yet fully understand. Thanks for sharing, Sha’Tara.

Rosaliene,
I believe there are many probable futures, and world peace is dependent on being able to imagine it. It may be impossible if it’s unimaginable, but some people don’t want it. There are those adrenaline junkies who think peace is boring.
My personal philosophy approaches space-time as an artificial construct, with no beginnings or endings, only transitions and infinite evolution of universes. No ultimate answers. Each solution brings its own set of problems. Perfection implies stagnation.
Don’t despair about mankind. We’re doing the best we can, and we’re just a small blip in the cosmos.

Thanks for sharing, Katharine. In the good that exists in our world, I see hope for our species. At the same time, those who dominate our world are leading us towards chaos and self-destruction.

Alas. A paradigm shift is long overdue.

Expression through words can be so beautiful… not necessarily in its aesthetics, but in its content and meaning. That’s certainly evident here.

Thanks, Robert. I’m no poet, but I find some ideas or reflections best expressed in poetic form.

Such a great poem, Rosaliene! I love the way you show time and space are just an illusion of man’s imagination. Don’t thing there is a postitive answer to your final question!!

Thanks for the compliment, Dwight! I, too, can see no positive answer to my final question.

There are many mysteries in space and time, but I understand “warped by man.”
