The vulnerability of our black friends is beyond tragic.

It hurts deeply, Dr. Stein.
I have a black neighbor who has the height, built, and good looks of a famous American basketball player. It hurts to see him walk with his shoulders rounded and eyes downcast, like a defeated male – a posture he has most likely assumed for self-preservation.

So it’s come to that. Wow. I find the typo in [quote] “you could die at the hands of the flaw in america just like that.” quite appropriate – assuming the writer meant to say “the law” in America… Flaw is better.

The error is intentional, Sha’Tara. Afro-Guyanese blogger, Mark Jacobs, is a master at using and creating words with double meaning. In this case, with his choice of the word “flaw” instead of “law,” he hits at the flaws in America’s laws.
Yes, “it’s come to that.” But not only black men are at risk in the US. Individuals from the LGBT community also have to be on the alert: tourists from Puerto Rico were also killed in the Orlando massacre. Muslims, too, have to adapt their attire to blend in with the crowd.

I predicted the downfall of America some 50 years ago, just from observing the way things were moving then, and how they took a massive turn for the worst under Reagan and exponentially downhill from there. I thought then it would feel good to be vindicated, but funny enough, it does not. I see so much suffering for so many people in the near future, and sadly most of those people still haven’t awakened to the axe held over their heads by a thinning thread.

Our tragedy as a species is that the downfall of the world’s sole superpower will take us all out.
Have you been following the NATO buildup on Russia’s border and the NATO Summit during which our president declared that Russia is our greatest threat?

How heartbreaking and humiliating to our democracy that such a warning should be needed.

Just read the following article by Henry Giroux.
Note from Henry Giroux on July 10, 2016: The racist killing machine is in full bloom in the age of domestic terrorism. Once again, Americans and the rest of the world are witness to a brutal killing machine, a form of domestic terrorism that is responsible for the deaths of Philando Castile and Alton Sterling…
