EXXON: The Road Not Taken
After eight months of investigation, InsideClimate News presents this multi-part history of Exxon’s engagement with the emerging science of climate change… It describes how Exxon conducted cutting-edge climate research decades ago and then, without revealing all that it had learned, worked at the forefront of climate denial, manufacturing doubt about the scientific consensus that its own scientists had confirmed.

You’re welcome, Cicorm. It’s disturbing the way power and greed can give us a false sense of invincibility.

Isn’t the same “Satan” saying that Guyana has 700m barrels offshore.
Suspension of their “exploration” license is a decision new kids on block must make
now …..engaging alternative explorers to investigate Exxon on possible awarding of
exploration license to others. No ifs or buts.
If necessary use EU or othrr explorers to investigate Exxon findings.
It’s not rocket science with the technology available today.
Am sure norweigan researchers would also help.
With such a large scale oil find and its potential of development of Guyana’s infrastructure the correct decisions must be taken now.

Kamtan, Guyana is clutching explosive straws when it comes to the ExxonMobil oil discovery. The time has long passed for humanity to phase out its use of fossil fuels. All reserves must remain in the ground. We are facing some dire tipping points. More about this next week.
