President Obama Announces Plan to Train 75,000 Solar Workers by 2020
As part of President Obama’s plans to combat climate change, the White House has announced a program for the U.S. Department of Energy to train 75,000 people to enter the solar workforce by 2020, many of whom will be part of a military veterans jobs initiative called Solar Ready Vets.

I agree with you, Dr. Stein. But progress is slow. In my neighborhood, I’ve yet to see a residential or business unit with solar panels.

I’m surprised, Rose, at your observation – I assumed your westside area would be in the forefront. I’ve seen several residences and businesses in my area using solar panels. And the VA in West Los Angeles and CBS on Beverly in L.A. have massive panels over their parking lots. A start, at least.
