This morning, I read with horror the news in the Guyana Chronicle Online of the brutal killing of Rusty Lall: a beloved guard dog and pet.

Violence continues to strangle our small nation.

I could not read the whole article – impossible – but it didn’t take long to know what was coming – a horrible variation of what we hear too often.

I, too, found the article difficult to read. Our society is breeding Pit Bulls that have no mercy for their victims.
